Effective period for “Accelerated Examination Pilot Program for Design Patents” extended by two years from January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2026

　TIPO launched the “Accelerated Examination Pilot Program for Design Patents” on September 1, 2023 to provide more diversified and flexible examination options for design patent applications.  After the pilot program’s trial implementation from September 1, 2023 through December 31, 2024, TIPO extends the trial period of the pilot program by 2 years through December 31, 2026, and will conduct further evaluation to decide if to continue or modify the program.  (Released 2024.12.17)
