To protect enterprises’ trademarks, the National Affairs Yuan of the P.R.C. plans to amend the Trademark Law adding provisions regarding protection on famous trademarks and restriction on malicious registration for others’ trademarks. Moreover, the terms provided in current Trademark Law which are different from TRIPs are being revised to correspond with the Mainland’s participation in WTO. Currently this act is under examination of People’s Representatives Permanent Committee.
