Mr. J.K. Lin became the director of Taiwan International Patent & Law Office / TIPLO Attorneys-at-Law since 1997, after TIPLOˇ¦s founder Mr. M. S. Lin passed away. The firm has evolved in its conventional highly proficient core business in IP areas started since 1965, and related corporate affairs initiated since the 1980ˇ¦s, while further expanded to its current scale of more than 250 staff members, including twenty-three litigators and around seventy patent engineers, definitely one of the biggest and most advanced IP law firms in Taiwan.

In his earlier tenure as the director of the firm, J. K. has set out to further streamline the hierarchy of the staff and adopted effective formula leading to significant quality improvement of TIPLOˇ¦s patent and trademark services that accommodates clientsˇ¦ intensifying need for IPR enforcement.

During the early 2000ˇ¦s, on top of the patent and trademark database system that has been accumulated and operated since the 1980ˇ¦s, data base containing more than two millions patent technical terminology equivalents of Chinese, English and Japanese was introduced to TIPLOˇ¦s engineers for infinitely precise digital sorting and searching of patent technical terms and relevant references. Such steady and earnest investment in the training of its staff and professionals and the modernization of the hardware and software of the O.A. system, have effectively lifted the level of TIPLOˇ¦s proficiency as a long-standing and ever-progressive IP oriented international firm.

J.K., in company with his colleagues at TIPLO, also devotes his time to many public speaking targeted at global corporations and international society addressing issues of IP concerns, unfair competition and others, and continues the footsteps of his late father / TIPLOˇ¦s founder Mr. M. S. Lin in dedicating to pro bono NGOsˇ¦ activities like that of the Judicial Reform Foundation, Taiwan International Law Society and Taiwan Human Right Committee, among many others. He is currently chairing at the patent and copyrights committees to the Asian Patent Attorneys Association / APAA, and an executive director to the Board of the APAA, Taiwan Group.

J. K. enjoys topography and motor traveling, and he lives in Taipei, TAIWAN with his family.
