Largan Precision filed the third patent infringement lawsuit against Genius Electronic Optical

　Largan Precision Co., Ltd. (“Largan”) filed a patent infringement lawsuit against its rival, Genius Electronic Optical (GSEO) with the Taiwan Intellectual Property and Commercial Court, asserting GSEO’s infringement upon its invention patents.  

　In 2013, Largan filed the first patent lawsuit against GSEO in the U.S., claiming that GSEO’s products infringed upon five of its patents concerning optical lens and the lawsuit ended with a settlement between the two companies in 2016.  Further in August 2022, Largan filed the second lawsuit against GSEO and GSEO’s subsidiary, Genius Electronic Optical (Xiamen) Co., Ltd., with China’s Xiamen Intermediate People’s Court.  The battle between two companies goes on with Largan filing the third lawsuit against GSEO with the Taiwan Intellectual Property and Commercial Court in November 2023.  

　For the past ten years, Largan has filed several patent lawsuits against its rivals, including Samsung, HP, Ability opto-Electronics Technology co., Ltd., Newmax Technology Co., Ltd., and GSEO, etc., and most of these lawsuits were settled with Largan successfully obtaining orders and royalties.  (Released 2023.11.22)
