Brand Finance Semiconductor 20 2023 Ranking:  TSMC the second most valuable semiconductor brand in the world

 Brand Finance, the British brand valuation consultancy, has been evaluating and valuing over 5,000 biggest brands worldwide and ranking them every year, and the valuation is conducted by calculating the brand worth and assessing and determining the relative strength of brands based on the indicators of marketing investment, stakeholder equity, and business performance.  

 According to the annual “Brand Finance Semiconductor 20 2023 Ranking” released by Brand Finance, Intel remains the world’s most valuable semiconductor brand with a brand value of US$22.936 billion, marginally ahead TSMC, which is the second most valuable brand with a brand value up 5.3% to US$21.564 billion.  In the third place is Nvidia with a brand value inching up 0.1% to US$16.922 billion.  SK Hynix ranks fourth with a 2.3% decrease in brand value to US$9.146 billion, followed by Qualcomm at the fifth place with a brand value up 10.4% to US$8.583.  Broadcom, the leading manufacturer of communication chips, has a brand value surging 28.8% to US$8.208 billion to claim the 6th position as the fastest-growing semiconductor brand in the ranking this year.  Supermicro Semiconductor (AMD) sees its brand value growth of 14.5% to finish seventh in the ranking, achieving a brand value at US$6.936 billion, worth almost four times the value in 2020.  In addition, there are also two other companies from Taiwan making the list, MediaTek at no. 11 and ASE Technology at no. 13.  (Released 2023.03.25)
